It is teh good news
I just had a pleasant surprise-- a very pleasant one, in fact. I just got a letter saying that my application for extended short term diability has been approved, effective Dec 15 (the date the original disability expired.) I didn't know that's what I was applying for; the HR people were remarkably vague when they told me to fill out the form. Cool! Now I need to find out some basic things like "how much" and "how long."
I have also come to the conclusion that stress is a strong trigger for my migraines. I knew there was some relationship, but the experience of having a migraine every day for the six weeks or so I was back and forth to Kentucky when Aunt Susan was sick, (sometimes needing two pills a day) versus being able to go for a week without needing to take an Imitrex at all, once I got back home and settled down.... oh, yeah. I'm a believer.
As if that weren't clear enough, the last couple of days have been very tense due to a combination of work and school factors, with finance playing a major role. Voila, the migraine returns. Now that I know what insurance I'll be dealing with, though, I feel more willing to take one of my beloved Imitrex.
Tomorrow, to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated library where I now work, the library is having a parade (all of two or three blocks long) and we're all going to "march" in the parade. Nia and two of the B's and I are going to carry letters that will spell out "READ." N and I wanted to do drill team type maneuvers, but the B's didn't want to practice, so no drill team for us. Sigh. No fun at all.
I'm taking my kitty love and a good book to bed. See you at the parade tomorrow. Heh.
