Whew!! and Whee!
Mar. 28th, 2005 02:08 pmThank god, I finally got the calligraphy done. Now I can start the fun part. I got up this morning, ate breakfast, and shut the little darlings out of the studio, because I have learned the hard way that they want to help. Especially first thing in the morning, they are particularly playful and affectionate. I know that makes it even meaner of me to shut them out, but damn, we're talking reality here. Even without help, it took me four hours, and my back is a mess of knots and my right arm and hand are all kinked up. I know if you do calligraphy right it isn't supposed to do that, but I think we can all deduce that I don't do it right.
At least I had an interesting series of dreams last night to muse about while I worked. The same guy was in my dreams all night long, and it wasn't someone I knew. Heh. That kept me entertained. It's a good thing I had laid out the calligraphy in pencil last night, is all I can say.
I think Miranda either can mindread or read my journal, because after I wrote about throwing her out of the bedroom for waking me up at 5 AM by tapdancing on my head, she quit doing it. The very next day, in fact. Amazing, eh?
Well, I guess I'd better get back to the fun stuff. I've found a bunch of great internet radio sites to listen to, and they are less distracting than crime TV shows. So I'll eat some lunch, crank up the music, and transfer the cartoon on to the black paper. Yep, I made the callig work on the black paper. Whee!
