Too many fun things....
Jun. 29th, 2005 11:34 pmWhich is NOT the same as too much fun, sad to say. Although, I had dinner tonight with Livia, Owen and Jenny, and we laughed so hard we may have had too much fun. Livia loves to cook, and she's good at it, but doesn't like cooking for just herself, so this could work out! Heh. J&O brought homemade ice cream, which we topped with fresh berries for a tasty ending to the meal.
One of the things we talked about is grad school for Library Science. Jenny is accepted into UNC and starts this fall; I'm just deciding to give it a go. I haven't really studied for a few years, but I get to start with the GRE. Whee! I was doing some reading last night on a study guide, and I was a bit taken aback... I'm used to acing verbal stuff, and they had some questions that were so subtle I had to read and re-read the explanations of why this answer was better than that one. Wow. And I didn't make it past the most basic math questions.... I guess bedtime is not the best time to start studying, huh? Amy could always leave her math stuff till last because it was so easy for her... it ain't me, babe! Owen offered to help get me brushed up on that. He may have his work cut out for him. Yikes.
Interestingly enough, I also had lunch today with another woman who plans to get a Masters in Library Science, and she's more at the stage I am. She may have already taken her GRE, but she says if I apply to NCCU I should be able to start this Spring semester. That puts a finite time frame on when I need to get stuff done. Again I say, YIKES!
I've been running all day (well, relatively speaking) and am not feeling particularly coherent, so I'll close with the following items of interest.
Here's a Mac ad that I liked.
And Syaldia posted this link today, but if you didn't see it then, check it out now. Heh.
