just.... sigh.
May. 17th, 2006 09:22 pmI was actually kind of excited.... I'd been on the Library school's email list, and people had been advertising used text books. I wrote back to this one woman and agreed to buy one of my texts from her for summer school. Sent off the check, etc, etc. Got the book tonight-- except she sent the wrong book. I've already taken this class and need to sell this book myself, not buy another one! I was at least telling myself I'd start the reading early. (Hey, we all have some strange fantasies....)
I think I'm going to need to start reading early for the other class I have this summer. "Conceptual Knowledge?" WTF does that mean? Yikes. I dread that one even worse than Cataloging I think; at least with cataloging you have some idea of what you're aiming for.
Just watched the PBS "American Masters" episode about Julia Child. I think I grinned like an idiot for the whole hour. Damn, she was a hell of a woman.
Miranda discovered the kitchen counters on Sunday. I don't think she'd ever been up on them before, but every time I turned around she was back up there. And NO, it wasn't because that was the first time there was room for her to get up there. Pbththtpbh. (Besides, that hasn't stopped her from getting anywhere else, even if that were the case.) Anyway, it was just funny. She'd just sit there and look around the kitchen from this new perspective. I can't believe it took so long for her to get there.
I know there was lots of other good stuff I meant to write about, but it's gone AWOL from my brain. I expect it'll all come back tomorrow while I'm at work.
