Well, it finally heated up. I can't really complain, I suppose, since it seems like it's about a month later than it usually gets hot. Still.... I wish I had one of those coolie things to put on my neck right now.
The little Guatemalan (?) guy next door is history, at least for this address. A "Debris Removal" service came today and emptied his apartment. Dishes, pans, clothes, furniture, new looking coffee maker.... everything. No idea what happened to him. I hope he's okay.
I got a new drafting lamp. What a joy to be able to just turn it on with the switch instead of having to crawl under the table and plug it in.... the switch on the old one was broken. Such small things bring me pleasure. This is particularly handy right now, since the overhead light in the studio is burned out and I'm too short to be able to change it. Just every now and again I think a tall person would be handy to have around.
