I'm going to be tacky here and not do the pretty link thing for these songs.
The first is the Complaints Choir of Birmingham (England) and the second is the Helsinki Complaints Choir. I saw the Helsinki one first (from Neil Gaiman's journal) and they are definitely much better musically. Still, it's mighty nice to be able to understand what they're saying.

I'm working again on That Damned Paper. I'm making some progress, but everytime I think I have a great idea and do a little research on my assumptions, I find out it doesn't hold up. Grrr. I think I"m going to have to quit doing research. I mean, that's a reasonable response, right?

grrrr

Every single time I start to get even remotely excited about This Damned Paper, I find out that whatever got me excited is not what I'm supposed to be doing. I talked to Nia today and mentioned what the paper is about, and she just bubbled over with ideas aobut things the library could do. Got me all fired up, she did. So I came home and started making notes, and pulled out the assignment sheet to check something. Whereupon I was rudely reminded that what the teacher is really getting at is basically management and planning stuff-- yeah, you have to think of what to do, but at least as important is the part about how you're going to do it, not to mention how you are going to measure progress so you know if you're succeeding or not.

For some reason, my mind reacts to this stuff like there is some reverse magnetic polarity field or something. Every time I start getting close, or think I am, my mind goes shooting off in some other direction. It's like a reverse black hole.

Frustration abounds.
