Yesterday was just going along all nice and peaceful, and I was feeling pretty satisfied with my progress on the various final projects and such that I was working on. About 7 last night I got an email from Jenny. "How long are your answers on the essay questions on the exam?" Hrmmm. I thought. I haven't even started on that. Wonder why she's starting a week early? Unlike any good grad student I know. So I got out my syllabus and double checked the date I had carefully written on The Master Schedule of Doom. Wait..... that can't be right. Except why else is she working on it? Holy crap!! It IS due tomorrow! Talk about an adrenaline rush. So all the materials for the paper due on Friday got put away hastily and I started working on the exam that's due tonight.

Poor J had to talk me down a few times, but I got most of it done last night and finally went to bed around 10:30 or so. I was happy to find that my strategy paid off, as usual, and I was much more alert and able to look at everything with a fresh eye this morning. (Do you ever wonder why it's always just one eye, never "with fresh eyes?" I do. What's the matter with the other one; is it still stale? Let me know if you have the answer.)

Freshness notwithstanding, I just now got done. I guess if I'd been more pressed to get correct answers I would have spent less time on making it all pretty and formatted and stuff, but I was satisfied enough with the content to work on the packaging for a while.

I also have my presentation ready for this class, since I did it early on, thinking I had lots of time for the exam. So I want to do that tonight and then I'll be done in two of my classes. Yay!

I think I'm okay on the third class, too, which has the huge-ass, 50%-of-the-grade paper due on Friday. It's coming along, or it was till I put it away last night. Tomorrow morning, first thing, I'm on it again. Friday, I'm done with three classes. After that, I only have the final paper that is the synthesis of the other papers, and then the final; both of those are for Archives.
