Oh, yeah, much homework. And do people still type? If I say I'm "keying" it just sounds silly. Sorry, that was an old-fart moment.

I had originally planned to go to see the Tall Ships with Nia, Nikulai and a new guy from the library, but I bowed out. Mainly, I realized that I really don't like large crowds, and a small town with a normally insane traffic flow on one of the heaviest beach weekends of the year, PLUS an event like Tall Ships.... Wow. Throw in temps in the upper 80's and the fact that I have two papers due and a ton of reading, and staying here was a very smart move indeed. Unfortunately, I would LIKE to see the Tall Ships, but from an article I read in the paper, a lot of people who went didn't get to see them anyway. I thought they'd be docked, but there was a race so they weren't even within sight for a lot of the day yesterday.

I think I need to give serious consideration to redesigning my computer work space. The desk is too tall, so I have to hold my head wrong to see the monitor and then my neck hurts, and my chair is old and broken down and doesn't have enough adjusments, and the printer is underneath the desk so I have to stand on my head to deal with it, and and and. Sigh. I suppose I could give up one of my two drafting tables.... one is adjustable height so I could make it work. But that would make actually working on scrolls really difficult, because of all the stuff I spread out around me to work. I wonder about one of the student fallback designs-- concrete blocks with a door on top.... ah, the good old days.

Back to the read, read, read part.

Tall Ships? I wonder if this is the rigatta thing my mom was talking about...

Oh! That is where my parents are. They're being medics, since they're on the state team for such things.
