Second entry today... I got the gold leaf on the gesso. Woot! Amazing, though, how something that shines like... well, gold... makes every little flaw show right up. I burnished the gesso before applying the leaf, so it was nice and shiny. Oh, baby. It'ts looking SO good. I have to lean up the lines... the gold stuck to them, too. (I could never figure out how come it stuck to the ink so easily but not always the gesso.) I should be able to start painting tomorrow.

How are you feeling? Any better?

OOOH! Congrats! I need to get working on the secretsuperscroll. Did the gesso work then? Even with all the humidity yesterday? Still haven't got the bottom people right on the design. YARGH! People suck. Especially medieval people in scrolls.

Maybe mix some ink in with the gesso? Sticky black plastery substance? Just what I need to play with.. :D

I know you're in crunch-time, so I'm hesitant to see what times would be good to come over this week.

Thank god for Imitrex... Yep, the gesso worked very well! I'll be happy to look at the people... I'm here every night this week. I'll be painting, which is the fun part. I can even do that while I talk to people, so you can come on over. What night?
