I have the season's first batch of chili on the stove. No idea why I got in the mood this early, but I did. Maybe all the talk about Ophelia and the rain that we're expected to have...
I wonder if more people are really leaving than ususal or if the Weather channel is just playing it up because of Katrina. I mean, lots of people will leave for a Category 1 storm, but they're making it sound like most peole are.
And I wonder about "mandatory" evacuations for non-residents.... what about the Weather Channel guys? They never leave. Bet the cops/rescue personnel love that.
Now that I've done the GRE, I get to write a deeply moving essay about why I want to go to Library Science school and why they should admit me. None of my introspective musings here seem to address those questions. Sigh.
