lyrically yours
Sep. 14th, 2005 10:37 amOh, this is too cool! Stolen from deza:
Let's play the Song Game:
I'll post a lyric to kick it off. Post other song lyrics in response--one line, a chorus, however much it takes to say what you want to say. The lyrics you post must have some relation to the lyrics you are responding to. Post as often as you like, to as many different responses as you like. All responses should be song lyrics, with the band identified in the subject line. Let's see how many different songs we can find; feel free to be obscure; try to infect people with earworms.
I'll start with the Grateful Dead, in honor of today's weather.
Just a box of rain, wind and water,
Sun and shower, wind and rain,
In and out the window like a moth before a flame.
And it's just a box of rain, I don't know who put it there,
Believe it if you need it, or leave it if you dare.
And it's just a box of rain, or a ribbon for your hair;
Such a long long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.
