luciabSunday was my birthday and Mother and Daddy gave me a nice fat check. Today Nia and I were out running around and I splurged a bunch of it on flowers and some fairly decadent chocolate. Just seemed appropriate, somehow. I got deep purple irises, some bright yellow and some purple tulips and white alstomeria. I wound up with so many flowers I have two good size bouquets in the studio. I love irises-- they are my favorite flower, and the deep purple are so rich. My favorite of all.
Whenever I sat down today at the drafting board to work on the new scroll, the kittens have been most anxious to help. I understand that they've been lonesome for me, and that I have to pay for my neglect of them by devoting extra time to them now. My only question is, will it be an equivalent amount of time? If so, I have a few more days of kitten-petting before I can get busy again. We'll all have plenty of kitten-endorphins stored up by then-- me AND the kittens. Heh. Oh, and for some reason I think Molly is actually getting along better with the kittens than she was before I left.
The Shield is back on for a new season. I missed the first episode last week, though I had it marked on my calendar. I don't remember whether I was busy packing or what, but I plan on watching tonight, baby. Oooh, yeah. How convenient is it when you can get the good guy and the bad boy all rolled into one? Heh.
Ahem. Well. The kittens seem to be asleep somewhere right now so maybe I'll work on the scroll for the next hour or so. Later, guys.
