Mother called tonight. As soon as I answered, she said "How soon can you get up here?" Fortunately, the tone of her voice made it clear she wasn't talking about a new medical emergency. She was pretty disappointed, though, when I said I have three doctors appointments next week, so the earliest I could drive up is the week of the 12th. It seems that nothing in Aunt Susan's house is supposed to be removed until a formal inventory is taken and all the bills are paid, and by law there is a six month wait to make sure everyone that has bills has time to submit them. So she was hoping I could ccome up next week to help them with inventory. She said we'll just play it by ear, and that she will need the week of the 12th to clean the house for Amy and Raymond's visit. Says the guest beddroom is presently packed with stuff. Whee.

Miranda is in quite the mood. She was, just a moment ago, curled up on my arm, purring madly, and batting at my earring with her paws, and occasionally pulling on it with her teeth. Ouch! If I yelp when she pulls on my earring, she stops, and pats my cheek instead. Heh.
