an exercise in frustration
Jan. 8th, 2006 10:24 pmI've been trying to figure out how to get to campus on the bus. It's theoretically possible according to the maps. I'd be happy to go to a park and ride lot instead of being picked up at my front door-- hell, I ain't proud-- and the schedules show when the buses leave specific locations. (Wonder if they actually do?) When I go to the route planner page and put in the trip I need, I get the message "Unfortunately, there is no convenient service available for this trip during the selected times." (Pretty sad when the people who are supposed to be selling the service say "no convenient service.") This despite the fact that according to the schedules, it's all possible, even for the evening classes I'll be taking. The transfer adds the element of excitement, of course; I can either have three minutes to change buses, or an hour. Goody. Why do I think that three minutes would be cutting it a leeeeetle close? But maybe I'm just being cynical again.
It would save me money, I wouldn't have to drive, it's all around a good idea-- but damn, they make it hard.
On the other hand, the new season of The Shield starts Tuesday night. Heh, heh, heh. Mmmmm, Michael Chiklis. Heh, heh, heh.
