And in other news...
Apr. 10th, 2006 03:24 pmThe migraine that was toying with me (or that I managed to fight off, depending on your view of things) all weekend quit playing around and hit full force today. It started this AM, but then it had hurt a little for the last few mornings and then quit, so I expected the same today and went on to work. Nope. Today I took an Imitrex and drank a grande cappuccino (strictly for medicinal purposes, of course) and an hour later felt absolutely no relief. Instead I was just headachy, queasy, AND twitchy. I did what I could at work without bending over, which was very little, and finally gave up and came home. This one's a doozy. (And if that word evolved from the Deusenberg, why isn't it a deusy?)
I saw the eye doc last week and have ordered new glasses. I'm thinking that might help. Lord, as much as glasses cost, it had better help. I find it interesting that no one else seems disturbed by the fact that I get double vision sometimes-- not even the eye doc seemed to find it unusual. Is that really normal? Just seems weird to me.
I finished Neverwhere last night. I enjoyed it more than American Gods but then I think American Gods was supposed to be more Important and Serious a work, so maybe I was supposed to be enlightened rather than entertained. Oh, well. I like my enlightenment to be served with a heavy dose of entertainment, actually. I find it goes down a lot easier.
