zzzzzz.....

I am trying to put together a description of the "User base" for one of the local county library systems for my Public Library class, using the US Census data and other such delightful sources. One of the things I'm supposed to do is compare current populations numbers and projected numbers, and the tables that have the data don't have the age groups broken down the same way. One group of tables has ages 0-5 together, another has 0-2, 3-4, and 5 as separate columns. If I want to compare them, I have to add up various columns to get comparable numbers. Some of the data is in 5-year increments, some 10 years. This is your basic definition of "boring as hell," not to mention frustrating. Makes me wonder why I ever thought this-- ANY of this-- would be a good idea. School, public libraries, being a librarian, the whole shebang. I'm sick of this crap. I just need to find a sugar daddy and stay home and paint tiny little pictures.
The whole class is pretty much a repeat of my Foundations of Librarianship class that I took less than a year ago, and the teacher isn't nearly as good as the Foundations teacher was. This marked lack of enthusiasm makes it really hard to really get into the data searching and analysis required for such a task. None of this is helped by the fact that I feel like the teacher will not exactly be rigorous in reviewing/grading this.
Know any nice sugar daddies?
